The Bloc Project is an experimental design studio based in Pune, India. It produces limited-edition 3D-printed sculptural art objects in a brutalist and glitch-influenced style. Objects are designed as collectible artifacts — decorative, not functional. The studio operates on a drops model: finite inventory released in batches, with no restocks once an edition sells out.

Objects are 3D-printed using one of three primary materials: PLA (Polylactic Acid), a biodegradable thermoplastic that shows precise layer lines and is the most common material; resin, a photopolymer that cures to a smooth, high-detail finish; and concrete composite, a heavyweight blend that produces a raw, brutalist texture. Each product listing specifies its material. Post-processing includes hand-sanding, priming, and finishing depending on the design.

Orders ship from Pune, India within 5 to 7 working days. Tracking information is sent via email once the order is dispatched. The Bloc Project currently ships across India. International shipping availability varies by product and is indicated on the product page.

Every object is produced in a fixed edition size, typically between 20 and 100 units. Once an edition sells out, it does not restock. The unit count on each product page shows exactly how many remain. This is a deliberate design choice: scarcity preserves the collectible value and individuality of each piece.

A drop is a curated release of new objects. Each drop has a fixed inventory that goes live on a specific date. Objects from a drop are available until they sell out — there is no restock. Follow @bloc.error on Instagram for drop announcements. Past drops are archived in the Archive section of the site.

Due to the limited-edition nature of each object, returns and exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis. If an object arrives damaged, contact bloc@theblocproject.com with photos within 48 hours of delivery. Refunds or replacements will be arranged for confirmed damage. Change-of-mind returns are not standard for limited-edition items.

Objects from The Bloc Project are designed primarily as sculptural, decorative artifacts. Some items in the Desk Aesthetics collection have secondary utility (pen holders, phone stands), but the design priority is always form and presence over function. This approach is described as 'anti-utility' — objects meant to be seen and appreciated, not used.

PLA objects should be kept away from sustained heat above 60°C, as PLA can soften at high temperatures. Avoid direct sunlight for extended periods. Dust with a dry microfibre cloth. Resin objects are more heat-resistant but can yellow with prolonged UV exposure. Concrete composite pieces are robust but heavy — handle with care to avoid chipping edges. All materials are indoor-use only.
